Action-Packed Race: JJ Racing Team Shows Its Strength on a Dry Track and Secures a Podium Finish

The second race of the Toyota Online Racing 2025 championship brought JJ Racing Team not only more experience but also great results, including a podium finish and valuable championship points. With more thorough preparation compared to the first race, the team felt more confident and demonstrated its speed on a dry track.

Strong Qualifying as the Foundation for Success

Teamwork proved to be a key factor in qualifying, where JJ Racing Team effectively used slipstreaming to secure front-row starting positions. Thanks to this strategy, the team placed among the top competitors, setting up a strong starting advantage for the first race.

Intense Battles and a Valuable Second Place

In the first race, the team stayed in the leading group, waiting for the perfect opportunity to attack. The key moment came in the final lap when a competitor made a mistake, allowing JJ Racing Team to fight for victory. On the final straight, it was a side-by-side battle, with Zdeněk Hamák ultimately securing an impressive 2nd place. Unfortunately, Ladislav Tóth crashed and did not finish, while František Kaštovský maintained a Top 10 finish in 6th place.

The second race featured a reverse grid, meaning the team had to start from lower positions, making overtaking extremely challenging. The tight pack of drivers created intense racing conditions, but despite the difficulties, JJ Racing Team managed to gain positions and secure more valuable championship points.

Technical Issues and a Crash End the Third Race

In the third race, the team moved forward, and a podium finish was within reach. The drivers held strong positions, but two competitors ahead built a gap. As the team led a train of cars behind them, an unfortunate braking mistake in Turn 1 led to a major crash, causing severe damage to the car and a premature retirement from the race.

JJ Racing Team Results:

  • 1st Sprint: Zdeněk Hamák – 2nd place, František Kaštovský – 6th place, Ladislav Tóth – DNF
  • 2nd Sprint: Zdeněk Hamák – 6th place, František Kaštovský – 9th place, Ladislav Tóth – DNF
  • 3rd Sprint: Ladislav Tóth – 6th place, František Kaštovský – 10th place, Zdeněk Hamák – 11th place (after crash)

Positive Outlook for Upcoming Races

Despite the unfortunate ending in the third race, the second race weekend was a success. On a dry track, the team showed excellent pace and proved they can compete with the best. Strategic overtaking in tight racing packs remains a challenge, but the points earned confirm that JJ Racing Team is among the top competitors in the championship.

„These were fantastic races, and we had great speed on the dry track. The biggest challenge was overtaking because the racing was so close. Despite that, we secured a solid amount of points, and hopefully, the third race will go better next time,“ said Zdeněk Hamák in his race weekend summary.
