Rookie Finishes in the TOP 10! JJ Racing Team Tests New Talent at the Legendary Interlagos

Sunshine and a tense atmosphere accompanied the eleventh round of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP season. The legendary Brazilian circuit of Interlagos welcomed drivers behind the wheel of Super Formula SF23 cars. While most teams were fine-tuning their setups ahead of the season finale, JJ Racing Team made a bold move – Jaroslav Róth left the team for Janík-Motorsport, and his seat was taken by newcomer Lukáš Piš, a successful driver from the Sprint Cup. JJ Racing Team continues to stay true to its vision of supporting young talent and giving new names a chance to break into the top level of sim racing.

The Interlagos race was marked by stability and careful point scoring for the team. The best result came from the rookie Lukáš Piš, who impressed in his debut by finishing 10th, breaking into the TOP 10 right out of the gate. Starting from P15, a strong launch and smart strategy with minimal mistakes allowed him to climb up the order into point-scoring positions. As he himself admitted, he was nervous, but managed to find a good rhythm and keep his focus throughout the race.

Zdeněk Hamák started from the very back of the grid due to a penalty from the previous race and opted for a bold strategy – a pit stop right after the first lap to secure clear air. Although he missed out on the advantage of slipstreaming with other drivers, he managed to climb up to 11th place and collect solid points for the team.

František Kaštovský had a tough start – he was hit from behind immediately after the lights went out and had to pit. Despite a repair that lasted over a minute and a damaged car, he showed decent pace, but a mistake after the pit stop cost him his front wing. Even so, he managed to finish in 12th place, delivering a strong and determined performance.

Lukáš Uhlík continued his consistent form. After qualifying in 16th, he made up positions at the start, but his race pace wasn’t ideal. A few small mistakes and a penalty for crossing the pit line ultimately saw him finish in 14th place, still scoring two valuable points for the team standings.

Overall, the race proved to be a successful test for the new JJ Racing Team driver line-up. Lukáš Piš’s debut performance was outstanding and proved that the team has a keen eye for fresh talent. Interlagos brought important points and valuable experience ahead of the season finale. The battle for the final points continues at the Japanese circuit of Suzuka, which will conclude the 2025 season. Nováček v TOP 10! JJ Racing Team testuje nové talenty na legendárním Interlagosu

Slunečné počasí a napjatá atmosféra provázely jedenáctý podnik letošní sezóny Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP 2025. Legendární brazilský okruh Interlagos přivítal jezdce s vozy Super Formula SF23, a zatímco většina týmů ladila formu před finálovým závodem, JJ Racing Team sáhl k výrazné změně – tým opustil Jaroslav Róth, který zamířil do Janík-Motorsportu, a jeho místo zaujal nováček Lukáš Piš, úspěšný jezdec Sprint Cupu. JJ Racing Team tak pokračuje ve své vizi podpory mladých talentů a dává šanci novým jménům prorazit ve vrcholovém simracingu.

Závod v Interlagosu se pro tým nesl v duchu stability a opatrného sbírání bodů. Nejlepšího výsledku dosáhl právě nováček Lukáš Piš, který ve své premiéře dokázal vybojovat 10. místo a hned při svém debutu se prosadil do TOP 10. Kvalifikoval se na 15. příčce, ale po dobrém startu a chytré strategii s minimem chyb posunul svůj monopost do bodovaných pozic. Jak sám uvedl, byl nervózní, ale podařilo se mu naladit dobré tempo a udržet koncentraci po celý závod.

Zdeněk Hamák startoval z posledního místa kvůli penalizaci z předchozího závodu a zvolil odvážnou strategii s boxem už po prvním kole, aby měl volnou trať. I když mu chyběla možnost tahat se s ostatními jezdci v závětří, dokázal se propracovat až na 11. místo a získat solidní body.

František Kaštovský měl smolný začátek – hned po startu ho soupeř trefil zezadu a musel do boxů. Přes více než minutovou opravu a poškozený vůz dokázal držet slušné tempo, ale kvůli vlastní chybě po výjezdu z boxů přišel o přední křídlo. I přesto dojel na 12. místě a zanechal na trati silný výkon.

Lukáš Uhlík pokračoval ve svém konzistentním stylu. Kvalifikoval se na 16. místě, start se mu vydařil, ale závodní tempo nebylo ideální. Po drobných chybách a penalizaci za přejetí boxové čáry se nakonec umístil na 14. místě, a připsal si další dva body do týmového hodnocení.

Celkově lze závod hodnotit jako úspěšný test pro nový jezdecký kádr JJ Racing Teamu. Premiérový výkon Lukáše Piše byl výborný a ukázal, že tým má nos na nové talenty. Interlagos přinesl důležité body a cenné zkušenosti před finále sezóny. Bitva o poslední body bude pokračovat na japonské Suzuce, která uzavře ročník 2025. Závod se pojede 18. listopadu a fanoušci jej budou moci sledovat tradičně na YouTube kanále Virtual GP nebo na One Play Sport.
